Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2025
1. Overview
GEO Optimizer ("we", "our", "the tool") is a free, open-source web application. This policy explains what information is collected when you use GEO Optimizer and how it is used.
2. Information We Collect
- URLs you submit — When you submit a URL for auditing, that URL is sent to our backend to perform the scan. It may be temporarily stored as part of the scan result.
- Scan results — Audit results are stored server-side and accessible via a unique scan ID in the URL. We do not associate scan results with personal identity.
- Server logs — Standard HTTP access logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) may be collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) for operational purposes.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require account registration or collect personal information.
- We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics by default.
- We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
Scan fix recommendations are generated using third-party LLM APIs (e.g., Groq, OpenAI). The content of audited pages may be sent to these APIs to generate recommendations. Please review the respective privacy policies of these services. GEO Optimizer is hosted on Vercel, whose privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data.
5. Data Retention
Scan results are retained for a limited period to allow you to revisit a scan via its unique URL. We reserve the right to delete scan results at any time.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
